Wondering if it worked for your class? Looking at the reports from Hagerstown on wind velocity it looked a bit breezy except around 2:00 pm and northerly at 10:00 and 11:00am. What did you experience?

Totally sucked. All forecasts had it as NW 10-15 decreasing as the day went on and switching to NNW by 5pm. Arrived at 11am to 90 degree cross from the north. Gusty. Huge thermal cycles tearing across the hill. Watched cummies explode from wisps to big clouds within minutes! Amazing to watch but it never got good. So....like the jackass I am we all head off to Hellam to see what that looked like. My guys were 10 minutes ahead of me. I had originally said I wasn't going to go but changed my mind and followed. By the time I got to York, the big flags were standing straight out so....I bailed and headed south on 83. Never even went to checkout the hill. Tom Allen, Howie and Chris did though. Tom called later and said it was blowing in but strong and "weird".

FYI: remember to call ahead before flying there. We did and it was appreciated. Status of hill good but needs some attending to. Stickers bushes are getting some size to them...so I'm told. Bring your pruning sheers or machetes if you go.

Rusty Tylenda showed up today too. Rusty is back! Rusty setup at the 'burg but of course tore down after we all gave up on the hill. Oh well......4 hours logged chasing the wind today. FYI: drove thru a little town called New Oxford. What a nice little Pa. town! Cool architecture and stuff. Very quaint.

I bet Bacil specked out at the SAC today. F-er. LOL. At least somebody called it right.....( I'm assuming )

Richard you f**ker  I didn't go to the SAC due to a family medical issue but I called Joe Gorrie last night and he said it was magical after 5:30P with Karen, Joe, and Lloyd soaring till sunset and getting 3K' over. Bacil
