Late recap from last Sunday at Daniel's.

Jim, Peter, Ron, Alex, Gordon, Randy with his HG, and I showed up at Daniels midday. It was light, 0 to 5mph SE. I think the forecast was 3-4mph SE. The cycles were pretty weak and you had to time it on the upswing. Peter and I launch early and had sledders. The cycles started to build around 1-2pm. Jim, Alex, and Ron all had great launches.

Jim had a really nice low save over the LZ, got back to 500 over, hit turbulence and went out to land but couldn't find sink. Alex manage to stay up near the ridge. Randy showed us how the hangies do it, but by that time there wasn't as much to work with.

Peter and I missed the 2nd window as the wind turned a bit cross to the East and Jim drove us down. Alex and Ron stuck around for more and got 2nd flights, but didn't find much. Lenticular clouds showed up and we decided to leave.

I had a trying day. I got stuck in brambles on launch and on landing. It's nasty stuff and I'm going to get revenge. Anyone have any power tools I can borrow?

Nice video!

I don't have any power tools, but I do have some clippers you are more than welcome to use for your revenge :-)

Hi Matt,

I carry a folding tree saw and a pair of pruners in my truck, plus two machetes and a whole bunch of ropes. You can pick up the folding tree saw and camming pruners cheap at the Home Depot. Niether takes up much room. I currently have the club weedwacker-- it has a circular saw blade attachment for the brambles and bushes. Come by and pick it up anytime if you want to do some work on the slot at Daniel's or Bill's or anywhere else.
