Smithsburg this weekend

Post by XCanytime »

I'm looking to head out to Smithsburg for some ground handling/fresh wind launching and landing one day this weekend. It looks cold and fresh winds out of the NW are predicted to last through the weekend. Looking for some who are thinking the same. Plenty of exercise and heat generation keeps ya warm.

Let's try it again. Dan Tuckwiller, and possibly Ward Odenwald, and good 'ole Eddie Miller are looking to join me at Smithsburg this Saturday 1/9. Cold and breezy, but not like the gales of last weekend. Looking to get some PM flights in during the warmest part of the day. Might get above 25.

Nice, Sparky! Miss having you around.

Is there snow at Smithsburg? Good enough for the snow toys?

It was a good day. Bacil, Dan Tuckwiller, Brian Leisenring and I flew. Plus, Eddie came out to help us launch. A little cross from the north at times but it came around just enough for everyone to clear away the cobwebs. The temperature was not a factor as the ground handling kept the blood flowing. Here's some photos of Bacil and two from my sprog mount.
