Veterans day flying

Wondering if Bills might be flyable. Any thoughts for flying on Wednesday?

No work tomorrow for me too so count me in if the weather is looking good. I'll check back in the morning after looking at the forecast...

Hmmm....

Surface 'casts are NE@10G20, and ADDS is calling for some pretty strong stuff
at 3k. I dunno. It's a rare day that we see a forecast claiming brain-dead
soarable at Bill's on a sunny (late) day, so I'm kinda tempted to roll the dice
on being blown-out, perhaps planning on a late-day ETA.

What are others thinking?

Not to burst any bubbles--- but Bill's faces East and it's looking more North than East for Wednesday.

I've been looking at:

Yeah, more NNE than NE.... But hope springs eternal. Maybe things will be
looking a bit better tomorrow.

So, hmmmm, hum..... I'm trying to find something that claims NE and 'only' 45-degrees cross
for Bill's (which I'd be willing to gamble on), but no dice thus far.

Anyone else got a line on a 'cast that looks worth the drive?

I *do* think that it will clear out by the afternoon, and would love to pull off a soaring
flight at Bill's this year....

Got a call from Pete, and he's in the "I'll go if someone else will go" camp.
So that's two willing to gamble, if there's anything worth gambling on....

I think I'm going to bail on Bill's.... Too cross, and the clouds are moving too slow. Rats!

Looks like the wind direction has improved a bit in the past couple of hours.... And here I am, having convinced myself that I could/should be getting a bunch of household errands taken care of, anyway. Sigh.

Think I'll stick with that decision (though I'll prebably regret it later). Hope the flying is good for you guys!

It was cloudy and dry there and there had been no rain! Winds were channeling in the slot fairly good 5 - 13 mph but definitely cross from the NE in the valley which hurt the lift. Matt did two flights and I did one and all were extendos but could not get above. Possibly if we had launched at different times maybe we might have gotten above. At least we got to fly and got out of the rain!
