Below I have pasted a link to the photos my father took at the Pulpit on 10/11/09. Please note that during the upload to Snapfish, it appears the quality of some photos was effected. However, if anyone would like copies of the original picture files, let me know which ones along with your email address, and I will email them to you.

If interested, my favorite is IMG 5875. The moon was actually in the original and not edited after.

Definitely some excellent pictures. I'll bet the one with the moon in the background would be a good USHPA cover shot. I'll be looking at these a whole lot over the next few days... while confined to domestic duties because of weather. Thanks for posting.

Re: Pulpit Pictures 10-11-09
Greg,
Is there some way to view the photos without creating a Snapfish account? Flickr, Picasa, and Photobucket all allow viewing public pics without having to join and have another password to remember. IF at all possible I'd like to avoid having another id and password to keep track of.
Thanks!

Hi Greg,
Great photos!!!
Sometimes, photo-sharing sites will automatically reduce the size/quality of a photo
when you upload, down to a max of a few hundred kb. If you become a paying member,
then they remove that restriction. Not sure if that's what happened to you, but it might
be worth looking into....
I've attached the moonshot image that you mentioned so others can see without
logging in:
FYI, you can always create a 'throwaway' account at SnapFish, with a made-up
username/password/etc. That's what I always do.

Ah-hah, a second moonshot from among Greg's dad's pics:
Re: Pulpit Pictures 10-11-09
USHGA is always looking for interesting or unusual pictures to put in their magazine. I think that first moon shot would be a good candidate. You might want to submit it. USHGA will want the highest resolution possible, the name of the pilot, the name of the photographer and written evidence that the photographer and pilot consent to use of the photo in their magazine. They will also want some information about where and under what circumstance the photo was taken. Submission details are in their magazine.
The chances of getting it published are probably better than you think. Photos of and by people not previously published are highly desired. If you have several candidate pictures, I suggest that you send them all. A couple of years ago USHGA published a couple of me. It was fun getting that 15 minutes of fame and this could be your turn.
