Calvert cliffs tomorrow (Tues)

Post by garys »

Heading to calvert cliffs tomorrow. Good NE in the low teens. Wind speed, that is, not temps although this 50 degree stuff at night is a shock to my system in Aug. ETA 11:00.
Any takers?

Hi Gary, where is the site, how high is it and what direction does it face? I'm available today but live up in Pa which may be to far of a hike. Would like to check it out though.

Calvert Cliffs is a "beach" ridge soaring site.
It's in a park owned by Gary's parents... we're exceptionally fortunate that Gary (and his parents) have invited us to fly there!

It's a NE facing site on the Chesapeake bay.

Yup, it's a bit of a hike for ya.
It's dreamy in the right wind though ;)
