woo-hoo! great day today at highland, although only a few lonely solo pilots
showed up for the day: myself, Carlos, John M, Ward, Shaun, and Heather.

I lucked into a thermal low on my first, which took me to base. Thermalled
with Jim in the tandem on that flight, very fun!

After seeing John stick for a good while I thought I'd give it another go.
This one was more challenging, no lift until I was getting ready to land.
Hooked something at 330 AGL which was luckily not drifting very fast;
very broad area of bubbly air, 50-100 fpm up. *Really* concentrated on
that one, and eventually topped out at about 2800 MSL. Very rewarding.
maybe my second bonafide low save at Highland.

At the moment, Carlos is kiting the PG and Heather is prepping for
a flight, there are HG and skydive tandems going, and a Delmarva
Balloon Rides balloon just launched. This is where the action is today! :)
