I understand you can truck tow a paraglider at Blue Sky.
Has anyone done it? Is it as straight forward and well thought out as truck towing a hang glider?
Thanks for the info.

Steve Kinsley does it... Pretty cool.
You can call Steve Wendt at 804-241-4324 and talk to him about it.

I have done it several times at Blue Sky though not recently. You have your wing spread out, tow line release setup attached to carabiners, truck out front a bit, tow line slightly taught, as truck starts to pull, you pull your wing up in front launch mode run a few steps and get lifted off.

Thanks for the input folks. I called Steve Wendt today. He was busy with "bookings" (presumably students). He mentioned scooter towing as being very straightforward. He didn't mention the truck.

Steve W. will want to check you out on scooter before graduating to truck. As always with Steve, he is commendably cautious.
Rooney at Highland has also run a "golf cart tow" - electric golf cart motor and take-up reel mounted on a golf cart that he uses in static mode to get paragliders up to 2-300 feet. Kinsley got a rating that way!
