I am hoping to fly at Ridgely tomorrow after a long time off. The plan is to take an early morning refresher tandem to make sure I remember all the important parts. The weather looks like it might not cooperate. NWS is calling for north winds to dump over the trees and produce less than ideal conditions for a pilot of my currency. So I'm thinking about a plan B. NWS is calling N turning E and light. Weather.com is calling NE turning E and light.
Has anybody flown Oregon Ridge lately? There don't seem to be any big events taking place there so maybe that's an option.
Anything else I might not be thinking about?
Hoping to see somebody somewhere,
Oregon Ridge?

Re: Oregon Ridge?
This time of year they have the fences up and also a rope fence across the bottom. Some of the orange fence can be laid down but the rope fence is not to be touched. Sometimes there are events that aren't listed. Winds have not been easterly during the weekends with rain for quite a while so have been there for several months.

I'm going to give Ridgely a shot tomorrow. But I'd still like to know if anyone's been to OR lately.
I hope to see lots of you tomorrow. It's been too long. I'll be the one with the Red White and Blue Falcon Classic and the Steam Punk Vario.

Welcome back, Dave! Particular if you place yourself in Sunny/Adam/Rooney's capable hands, they will keep you out of trouble. Today was strong but straight down the runway. If you can be there early or late, maybe it will be mellower (haven't looked at the weather, just speculating). - Hugh
