Hey Matt,
The marrying of "Breathe" and "On the Run" with the video of your flight was perfect, the crescendo at the beginning of "Breathe" coinciding with the launch, the slow and melodic rest of "Breathe", and the quickening tempo of "On the Run" coinciding with the setup and landing. Awesome. Welcome to the mountains. Well done.

The idea of placing a windsock at the bottom of the slot similar to the one at the Sac is a great one! Joe Gorrie has figured out how to make a good windsock and they use a long pole so that no one has to climb too high up the trees. Maybe Brian can come back to install the first wind sock!
I wanted to add my observations to the day on Sunday. I did not go to launch, but I was in Woodstock that day. I went fishing at a rainbow trout farm on the west side of the valley. While conditions on launch may have been ok, it certainly was blowing like stink in the valley. Up near the vineyard that Bacil prefers, I would estimate a good 15 mph at noon (when I arrived) and at 2:30 when I left. The wave clouds also were pretty scary. My point would be that perhaps the Woodstock effect helps more on launch (at times anyway) then in the valley. I have been suckered into launching more than one during a "brief" lull only to find out conditions were still pretty strong.
Recently, I have used my blackberry to go to the CHGPA weather page and check current wind readings before launching. It has been reassuring that winds were observed to be light in the region before launching.
Glad to hear that Hugh and everyone else was ok. I am camping with the kids this weekend, but intend to fly whenever things look doable for the next two weeks.
Take care
