John and Heather rolled in at around 4 and I was introduced to John's "5 o'clock club". I decided to give it a try but I was skeptical. I AM NOW A BELIEVER

I towed up right behind John, and was released under the same cloud he was, where I got around 400 up to 5100 feet. AWESOME. It was also a bit cold. Then I noticed something odd. A few wisps were forming a little ahead and below me. I flew over to investigate and soon an entire cloud was forming below me and around me. Giant wisps of cloud rose up like tentacles. The cloud was forming FAST. I had lots of fun flying through them and around them. Pretty soon it had formed its own cloud. I flew under it for a while, flew around with some tandems and heather, and latter found John. We were pretty close to the river at this point and then the same cloud forming thing started happening over and over and over again in a line. I found out latter this was convergence =P
I had tons of fun following John around through the maze of wisp tentacles and puffs. It was such an incredible experience. There were wisps curling up in a huge vortex one time that looked like a tunnel wave that surfers go through. I flew through it! WEEEEE. I did some wingovers and tore around the clouds as they formed and then came right back up. The tentacles would quickly get bigger and converge into huge puffs of cloud. When I looked behind me I could see huge towering clouds where we had just been. It was just amazing. My control bar was actually damp from all the wisps I was flying through. I flew for 2 and a half hours, it shut down around 7:10 or so and so I made my way back to ridgely with a lot of altitude to spare, as things were still quite bouyant. Found some zero sink and then landed right around 7:30.
The tandems took part as well, those are some very lucky customers!
