High Rock notice

Post by pink_albatross »

I talked to Emma Jane last night (regarding cats) and some time in the conversation she stated that we can not land at High Rock this weekend. The grass has not been cut and it is hip high. The guy who cuts the grass needs a 3 day non-raining window for the grass to dry properly - and that obviously has not occurred yet.

I do not know how to interpret "can not land". Does that mean it will be difficult to pull off a successful landing? Or does that mean that they don't want us to land so as not to trample and ruin the grass?

Anyway.... just relaying info.

Hip high is no biggie, unless you belong to the Greblo crowd.

Maybe to prevent an injury. Emma Jane cares about our safety. Need to teach the cats to eat grass

Emma Jane has closed the field in the past due to high grass. As Gene says, she cares, pilots should respect her concern, and "can't land" means "don't land".
