Anyone going HG'ing Saturday? If the mountains don't look good... thinking about hitting BlueSky. Bad weather? or enough last weekend.

Waiting to see what John has up his sleeve for hill training Sat ... If I don't hear anyting, Blue Sky is the fall back plan. Give me a ring in the morning. If Blue Sky's in the cards, we can make a trip of it.

Well, after changing my mind a few times on what I was going to do, I decided to go to BlueSky and knock the rust off. There were about 5 pilots there. Conditions were a little rowdy to about 600ft.... got tossed around a lot. About 3-4PM it smoothed out. Got 5 fairly decent landings in. Highest I thermaled was about 1500 from an 1100 ft tow. One pilot on a Talon... John R... had a 1.5 hour flight... others had anywhere from 10-45 minutes.I had a hard time staying in the thermals... seemed to disappear, and I couldn't locate em again. It was very switchy... winds predominantly from the west ... WNW, WSW, SW and NW, so deciding which direction to tow was a toss up. Up until about 2PM, we towed S-N... then switched to N-S. That seemed to be the best of the day with 110oft tows. Beautiful day!!!
