I had a nice week in Valle (Feb 15-22) travelling around with Jeff Hunt. We were over-developed 3 afternoons. Flying La Torre was neat, seeing the town and playing over the lake. The Pinon was not overly crowded altho the dump lot was evidence of the prior PWC crowds. I was working on thermalling technique and eventually got high enough to head back to town. There was a "NO Landing Zone" field which I hit and had to pay $50 (mexican). The second flight over I made it to the Casas Viejas, a couple of miles short of the beach. There were a lot of local pilots, mostly PG. We had two HG pilots in the group and they enjoyed the higher winds. I stopped taking pictures in the air (after I broke my ankles in '07, strangely enough) so here are a few of launch and the town.
