launching discussion

Post by dbodner »

Usually I fear reading multi-page topics because of the low signal to noise ratio. But, at the Oz Report there's a very cogent and reasonable discussion under the heading of "launching horizontally."

That's a great thread... I particularly liked some of the posts by Joe Greblo. It reminded me about how important it is to keep your hands low on the downtubes... something I could be better about. I'm still working out my landing technique but I've come to his conclusion as well... I'd rather be upright than prone when flying close to the ground. Certainly being prone looks/feels cooler but for a variety of reasons upright seems the safer method to me. Not the least of which is that I'd rather crash that way. I'll probably try to spend more time flying upright as well as that is another good point he made. I still don't think I have as great a feel for it the way I do when flying prone.

Yeah, when you've got Kari Castle and Joe Greblo posting.... well, I just sit back and soak up as much as I can.
