So far, #1 in class and just was accepted in to doing my Externship at Restaurant Eve, one of DC's only 4-Star Restaurants. I was drooling today knowing that people were probably heading to Woodstock to take advantage of the warm temperatures and NW winds. Instead, I was organizing my garage, making room for my hang glider next to my backup refrigerator. Instead of flying, I spent the afternoon making Puff Pastry and Pecan & Herb Encrusted Rack of Lamb. Someone has to feed my wife and since shes putting me through Culinary School, I figured I should be the one. The Batwing misses its flight time and hopefully I can pull in for airspeed sometime in the Fall. I haven't been frequenting the Listserve as often, but it seems that the flame wars (i.e. Tad) have died down. I rarely have enough time to do anything other than homework so it was hard to wade through the forums. I can provide recipes for anyone who wants them Hope everyone is flying safe and I really can't wait to rejoin you all in the air. I haven't been off the ground in 5 months and I'm horny for some thermals. Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you all, especially Matthew & Karen, Paul & Lauren, Mark C, Craigin, John M and all the people who I spent the first few years of my flying with. Fly safe and I'll be joining you at the top of the thermal here in another few months! Miss you all!
We miss you too Chris! Hope you are working on some good vegetarian recipes! We haven't gotten in that much flying either lately. Hopefully that will change soon.

Chris
Still can't believe you switched from the "kill 'em all let God sort 'em out" set to the "Quichee pouffe hat" set. I'd be suspicious of what's in your Bearnaise sauce!
I haven't been flying much either. I've become an 'event pilot', which means that if I make space on my calendar for a fly-in (schedule vacation time) months in advance AND if I get lucky with the weather, then I fly. Otherwise the only thing that allows me to push everything else to the back burner so I can fly is conditions so perfect I can't resist, which usually occurs when I'm out of town. And the less time you fly, the less often conditions fit your abilities.
Yeah, miss flying with you Chris. Miss flying with everyone.
