It was reported back to me that conditions became stellar by 4 pm...a little patience and you all would have had wonderful flights at the Pulpit. I for one would have launched in 25 mph, pull in, get high and lawndart to HR.

A good rule of thumb for the Pulpit on the day of a frontal passage
is that you either have to be in the air very early (assuming there's
a window prior to the ramp-up), or you have to be willing to
stick it out until sunset. Every day is different of course....
But odds are, a NW 15-20 'cast on the day of a front's passage
often means that you are going to be hang waiting for a while.

Sorry that it didnt' work out better for everyone, that's a bummer
on such a nice day. :?

Freight trains still rolling through at Smithsburgh at 4:30. We flew traction kites-- others flew Zagis. Then went to Emma Jane's for part 1 of the Great Cat Rescue. Flags still pinned at the Cavetown Exxon at 5:15 on the way home.
