Arrived at HR with Glen at 1 pm. Conditions didn't look awful, W cross of around 10-15 mph with occasional straight-in cycles. Glen bailed but allowed me to fly his glider, so we set it up and recruited a cold-blooded wuffo by the name of Dustin for launch assistance. Up on launch I waited for a good cycle and took to the sky to find myself shooting up vertically. Due to the cross the lift band was quite narrow and constrained to perhaps 300 feet left of launch. I was sure glad I didn't have to share it with any pilots
