looking for a good entry level paragliding harness

Post by Dan T »

I picked up the wing yesterday, I'm in need of a harness.

I'm here for two weeks and would like to do some kiting and maybe training hill flights.

Dan,

Congrats on the wing! I remember a few years ago we were hanging out flying HG and PG at Smithsburg and I overheard you commenting that you'd like to fly a bag.

Below is a link to a the harness I have been flying for three years. It has held up very well. It uses foam protection plus a zip-off (removable) cygnus airbag. I fly the XL. It is draggier than other harnesses, but IMO has the best protection. It has an under-the seat (right-handed) reserve deployment and plenty of storage.

Steve Mayer at Cloud Nine usually has them in stock. Link below:

No matter what you get, make sure you have steel biners.

I've got a Lara 175 reserve, modified for PG for $250, packed into a chest-mounted container/instrument cockpit. It is a bit small for you, however.
