Paratech P-27 ML DHV 1/1-2 Paraglider

Post by charlieg »

The Paratech P-27 is a new design for 2007 from this high quality Swiss manufacturer, replacing the P-26. I purchased my P-27 new in June of 2007 when I was given the opportunity to trade in my P-26. I flew the P-27 for just under a year, from June 30, 2007 to June 1, 2008, putting on just 17 hours in 46 flights -- it's still in pretty new conditiion -- crinkly. Slight damage incurred during a tree landing on it's penultimate flight with me has been professionally repaired where I purchased it in Torrey Pines. This is a super stable glider that is very easy to kite and launch -- it's made for and perfect for beginning and occasional pilots. See details on Paratech and this glider at www.paratech.org.
Specifications as follows (more details on Paratech website):
Size: ML (recommended pilot weight = 143 - 198 lbs; recommended take-off weight = 187 - 242 lbs)
Rating: DHV 1/1-2. The P-27 is rated a DHV 1 in all categories except for "Asymmetric Colapse (Accelerated)" where it is rated DHV 1-2.
Price: $1,000 List new is over $3,000 -- I'd like to get this glider in the hands of a new PG pilot -- it has many many flights of good flying left in it.

Charlie,

Charlie,

I am the new pilot who has been writing a posting from Sopot Bulgaria. I am interested in your glider but I am currently stationed in Iraq. I will not be back in DC until aobut the beginning of June.

I assume you are talking about just the wing and not a harness. Is this correct.

Please write to me at nowallsinc.com.

thanks,
Dan T

Dan:
Tried to send you an e-mail, but the the address you listed came back to me as not usable. So I replied with a PM on the forum. But just to clarify, it is just the wing. I sold my old harness earlier this year.

Charlie, it looks like I'm going to be able to come home for Christmas. If you still have it, I'd like to give it a good look and maybe have a qualified person look too. Don't hold it on my account, but be assured I am serious.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan. Ellis has the wing right now -- took one flight with it at Daniels, but I haven't had a chance to talk to her about what she thought. I don't believe she is interested in it for herself -- but I know that Hugh is interested for himself. You might give Ellis a shout to see what she experienced.
Regards,
Charlie

Hi Dan. Give me a call when you get into town -- cell is 703-328-8545. We'll coordinate with Ellis and get the wing into your hands to check it out. If you don't come up with another option for a harness, I've got an instructor friend in Texas that has some used equipment and he might be able to set you up.
