Veterans Day

Post by mcgowantk »

I have the day off and am thinking about the Pulpit. Anyone interested?

Weather looks very light to me; more or a tow park day. I will probably stay home.

Tom and I checked out the Pulpit. There was a Birder there named Dale who helped each of us launch.

Tom went first and had a pretty good flight, in my opinion given conditions. It was light and from the north.

I went down and picked Tom up. Tom & Dale helped me launch. I had a pretty fast north push to the LZ with a tast of lift over the LZ much to late to help. Too bad no one else showed up.

Tom launched again with Dale's help and got another okay flight given conditions.

We then went on a Crusade to find an old east site Spring Run since we still had an hour of day light. I think I was there in 1993 with Mark Fink & Keith Ford at this time it's well overgrown.
