We're trying to make it a bit easier for new pilots to get in touch with Observers, and one way
to do that is within these forums.
So two special groups have been created :
CHGPA HG-Observers
CHGPA PG-Observers
The people who belong to them are now indicated via a distinctive color for their username.
In addition, you can send a PM (personal message) to everyone in these two groups.
Go to the forum home page, scroll down to the 'Who is Online' section, and click on
one of the groups.
This will take you to a page that describes the purpose of the group and provides a list
of the group members. A button is available that allows you to send a group-wide message.
Enjoy!

As observers we want to help out our fledgling sisters and brothers. We know you might not know us and might be reluctant about cold calling us.
Please, don't be shy. We love to hear from you, welcome you to the club, and help you learn and have safe and enjoyable flights!

Hi markw,
I'm sorry to see that you haven't received any replies to your post about flying
the Pulpit. Unfortunately, you have posted within an 'announcement' thread
which describes the 'observer groups', and how to use them. Most people
already know these details, so you might not have gotten much of a response.
When posting in the Paragliding Forum, you might want
to ignore the Announcement section and just create a new topic of your
own. I think you are more likely to get a reply that way. A good topic
title might be: New P2 from Ohio would like to fly the Pulpit!
I'll also think about locking this thread, which would help encourage
people to create new posts, which others are more likely to see.
Apologies for any confusion!

Re: fyi for H-IIs and P-2s
I am new to the forums and the sport. I live in the Richmond area and have a P1 with 2 steps to complete a P2. Are there any observers in this area or close to D.C.? I am also looking for info on launch sites to fly from and gear? thanks
