I'm tempted to go. I read that the rides (balloons) are 250 per person. Do you know anything about the rides? I want to bring my son and is the money worth the ride? He enjoyed a tandem from Tex some time ago, so he had the taste to fly. Let me know.

Ellis and I are planning to fly by in the trike on our way from Front Royal to a fly-in at Harrison Farm, near Frederick. If we can get permission, there may be a field we can land in. Main interest is to take pictures of the balloons... - Hugh

Hugh,
There are huge fields all around the farm... just look for the cars LOL...
If you'd like, I could bring my radio and ask for permission, then let you
know if it's OK....

I just sent e-mail to Long Branch inquiring. The radio is a great idea. Wonder if the balloons use them - aviation band or amateur band... - Hugh

Gene, maybe we can coordinate (radio? cell?) and if you go up, maybe we can take pix of you and son taking balloon ride from the trike in the air? Dunno about feasibility... just a thought...
