I've been anointed the new "keeper of the Site Guide" for CHGPA. I'd like to thank my predecessors, especially Christy Huddle, for developing and maintaining what is the most compreshensive and useful site guide that I've seen. It's great to be able to work with this fine product.
Now that the Site Guide is available on line, as one of my first goals I see no reason why it can't be updated on at least a monthly basis, so I will endeavor to do just that. We should have a single place -- the on line Site Guide -- where members can go to, say, find out whether Fisher Road is open and, if so, which LZ should be used. To this end, I will work with our webmaster to implement a sticky, or some such mechanism, to make it easy for members to send me a PM with updates or recommended changes regarding a specific site. After going through some kind of verification process I'll upload the update. Watch for the new sticky, or other mechanism, to appear shortly.
My next goal is to work to improve the functionality of the guide. For example, now that the guide is on line and we also have pictures of some sites available on line, I see no reason why the page for a specific site shouldn't have a button to take you directly to those pictures. To support the improved functionality goal, please use this string to suggest improvements or changes to the format of, content of, or distrbution process for our Site Guide. I'll capture all suggestions and work to socialize them among the membership and/or our officers to determine which have merit and are doable, and them implement as appropriate.
Finally, if anyone knows of other site guides that are available on line or otherwise, please point me to them or send me a copy. As great as our current guide is, I can't imagine that someone, somewhere, hasn't developed some kind of good idea that we might want to adopt. I'll collect a set of best practices and work to implement the bestest in our own Site Guide.

Great ideas charlie! New blood always brings fresh ideas and enthusiasm.
I'd recommend putting a north arrow on aerial shots of the LZs, and perhaps another arrow pointing in the direction of launch so people can think about the direction they would approach from.
