Ridgely today

Great day. Had a late start (still sore from yesterday) and didn't launch until 3.15 pm. Zac dropped me in a boomer that took me straight to 5500' over, past the inversion. Drifted downwind to the river and there were fat gentle thermals everywhere. Was climbing with Doug who maiden-flew his brand-new T2. Hell of a pilot, I was struggling to keep up with him. We then both went on glide back to the airport and I was pleased to see that my Litespeed wasn't giving in despite my way draggier harness. What a great glider! Flew for an hour and a half or so and decided it was time to land. Could have stayed up longer but fatigue was kicking in. Had another sunset tow later. Climbed into the control frame and watched the sun go down over the bay, fabulous. 4 hours pure airtime this weekend, I can't complain. Kirk had his first solo (congrats!) and Raj is making tremendous progress. Carlos had a great flight, too.
