Woodstock Mon

Post by hankh2rbc »

With winds out of 310 at 13mph and a great looking blip map Bruce and I are looking to score some miles from the Stocker tomarrow. Any other takers?

What time will you be there? I'm thinking of sneaking out of work and flying.

If I finish my work at Woodstock early enough in the afternoon, I will try to fly.

Woodstock was good. Fliers were Hank, Bruce, Adam, John, and Joe. We all stayed local although for some New Market and back was local.

As Joe said it was good. Went north to the knob and south to the tip of Short mtn. Max alt was 5355 so I decided to return to launch knowing I couldn't jump the Blue Ridge if I couldn't get higher than that. Also could not get my Rotor zipper up past my knees. Found out why when I landed. Seems the chute had come out of its deployment bag and slid down the inner layers of the harness to my knees. Really good thing I didn't need to throw silk. It will now be part of my pre-flight to actually peel back the velcro and check the internals.
