Greetings from Baghdad

Post by Dan T »

Hi everybody, here I am sitting in Saddam's Palace in Baghdad. It's hot and dusty and not a soaring bird in sight, plenty of helicoptors though, do they count? Anyway just a quick hi to let everyone know where I am and that all is well.

Ellis, I'm looking forward to mid-september flying in Europe as well as mountains and green grass, all of which is in very short supply here. I'll contact you through Maureen late in July.

Dan Tuck, don't you know you are supposed to sled the first time you fly high rock? There's rules against spanking the rest of the club first time out! ;-) Seriously, congratulation, great flight. And keep up the posts, I'm flying vicariously through them.

Dan,

Keep yourself alive out there.

Just to keep this on-topic, I've been thinking there must be some great HG sites in Kurdistan waiting to be pioneered. Any chance you might make it up there?

What an opening line. They got free Wi-Fi in there or something?

Dan,

We're planning a planning party for Bulgaria in a couple of weeks - with Maureen of course. Look at maps and guidebooks. The ATM in Sopot works with credit cards, not sure about debit. I think I have a transformer that will work with radio chargers. Trying to come up with a local supply of goat to make cevapcici for the party...
