Love the subject line. :-)
Wish I could be flinging myself off the Pulpit today, too
Have fun and I'd love to hear about it afterwards! (maybe at the meeting?)

It would have been a "fling" indeed -- when we got there ~12:00 the wind was blowing a constant 15+, gusting to over 20. So we went to Woodstock, arriving ~3:00. A little breezy at first (despite the forecast), but calmed down by 4:00 and Tom, Llaszlo and I launched. I flew for an hour and 20 minutes, getting ~1,000 over, and eventually deciding to land in order to make the evening schedule work (Natalie arriving late from out of town). Llaszlo flew for ~2 hours and reported getting 4,000 over. Tom flew for ~2.5 hours, riding down the ridge for ~15 miles to Mt. Jackson, and then flying back.
One hang glider there as well -- named Tom?? (lives locally). He was still in the air when I left (as were Llaszlo and PG Tom).
I love my new Sport 4. My Paratech P-27 was a wonderful wing to learn on -- ultra safe, stable, and easy to launch -- but the feel of the new wing is great. I feel like I'm able to anticipate what the vario is going to tell me now -- before the vario was always first.
Sorry to miss the meeting - looking forward to the recap.
