Bush Legacy Celebrated

Post by Flying Lobster »

In these waning days of the Bush administration, the White house and neo-cons are justifiably proud of the legacy of 8 year's rule by GW and his ilk.

Yesterday the White House announced with pride that the administration had succeeded in wrecking the nation's economy, noting that it had taken a budget surplus and turned it into the biggest deficit in the nation's history. It also was revealed that packing the nation's justice department with political appointees had largely succeeded, further cementing the right's gains on eliminating civil liberties and constitutional rights.

A spokesperson was overheard to say "We have a few leftover jobs too finish up. We must complete the elimination of the middle class and poor people--most of them are foreigners anyway and are likely breeders of future gay couples. These are ungodly people and we have a responsibility to see to it that they are marginalized in America, which, afterall, is next to the Kingdom of Heaven. Fortunately, with inflation, basic needs such as food and medical care will become out of reach for these people and their life expectancy will likely drop anyway--it is God's will"

Meanwhile, across town at a convention of supporters for the administration, there was a party to celebrate the gains of the neo-cons. Up to a 100 guests dressed up in Saxon body armour, and while Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" played in the background they ascended to Valhalla, proclaiming "We did, after all, get Sadam!"
