Hmmmmmm.... Dickey's OR Woodstock later in the day looks best to me.

Well today wasn't bad... certainly better than my last two trips to Daniels and Thursday at the Pulpit.

Winds were light when we arrived at Dickie's launch but after an hour decent cycles started rolling through and Thomas and I launched and had decent 30 minutes flights before entering a down cycle that took us to the LZ. Ellis launched at the beginning of a good cycle and had an hour long flight boating around. Lazzlo Thomas and I headed back up for a second go at it while Ellis was cruising. Arriving at the parking area, a nice ranger dude asked for our permits, and luckily all three of us were able to present them. We then chucked off for a late day sledder as Ellis was headed into the LZ. It seemed to shift southerly toward the end of the day. It seems we timed it well because a line of t-storms is cruising through front royal as I type.

Please make sure you have your permit on you if flying at Dickies. The Park Service seems to be checking up on it.

Aloha,
Jeff
