I am leaning towards driving down to a meet in Boone, NC. It's a low key sort of thing with low performance HGs flying with PGs, same tasks, same scoring. Info at http://www.flytaterhill.com/ If anyone is interested let me know.
If you've never been there, Tater Hill has an impeccable, top-landable, launch 2000 feet over the valley. Daniel and I drooled at launch while getting very blown out -- never got to fly there. But now is the season! It's the highest mountain I've seen on the east coast.

Ahh, Tater Mountain in Boone, NC. Flew there in October 1982 on the way back from a successful week of flying the TN/GA sites. Unbeknownst to us, there was a fly-in going on that day. Lots of pilots and fun!
Saw my first HG loop there. A fledge pilot launched off the grassy, rolling, slope launch. Flew straight out a couple of hundred feet, and casually went right into a loop. He then climbed away in the generous, light, thermals... oh boy!
A squadron of Delta Wing Streaks showed up, floating undersurface, radical design at the time (yeah, the trailing edge of the undersurface was not sewn to the top surface.)
I was flying the Harrier 147. The LZ was at the gas station down the ridge to the left. It was not visible from launch and that made it interesting! Of course you could top land in the meadow behind launch as my ride did. Had a great flight at this spectacular site.
Hope you guys have a great time with good weather.
