Flying Sunday 6/15

Post by eggzkitz »

Aloha everyone...

So Tom and I didn't get much flying done in Colorado, but Sunday is sure looking good for Woodstock or Pulpit.

I'll be down in Richmond on Sunday morning, so I may rally to Woodstock for an afternoon flight (3 pm or so).

Who's with me?

Could I fly Pulpit Sunday if I bring the waiver papers? Could someone from the club sign them there?

Hi Mike,

If you are a USHPA member, and hence you have signed the USHPA waiver, then
that document eliminates the need for the Pulpit Waiver.

At this point, the Pulpit Waiver is really only applicable to visiting pilots from
outside the US.

I thought folks were going to the Pulpit on Sunday!! Only two PG pilots there. It was a nice day and wind was a little from the North. I was able to get off a short 20 mile XC before landing near Hagerstown. I easily got to cloud base at about 5K but had to leave lift to stay away from the airport!! I will need to take a different course next time!!

Dave-

I love it -- a "short" 20 mile x-c flight... around these parts, that isn't too bad!

We were at woodstock. Lazlo, Tom, Ellis, Thomas and I were there waiting for it to shift west from north. It finally straightened out after 3pm. I had a short flight and headed home but think the others cruised around over launch for a while.

Glad you had a good time with it!

Cheers,
Jeff
