PG towing yesterday in Beltzville, PA

Post by alek »

A few of us went towing yesterday at the Beltzville airport, not far from Little Gap. Towing works! It gets you up high enough to thermal out, but the best part is that if you don't stay up, just land and tow up again in minutes. Once you get a hang of the process, it's a great way to get in the air. The wind direction doesn't matter! These guys have a nice pay-in system rigged out of a Honda motorcycle:

Also, Christoph posted a launch sequence of me at http://flickr.com/photos/christophh/set ... 492595777/

I am not sure if any of you live within a reasonable distance from Beltzville, PA, but if you do, forget about wind direction, let's go flying!
