We had been waiting around for some decent Wx since Friday and winds finally backed down and we got a glass-off.
I took this photo a year ago ... the view is essentially the same.
Shawn got stinking high and enjoyed some superb views. Then he nailed his landing ... about 10 feet from the spot ... at an altitude of about 8000' msl. It turned out that Shawn won the spot landing comp and won a Vx-150 radio.
Most of the other landings were whacks ... including mine (a 'gentle' whack
