Lauren flies with the same instruments except her GPS is a 76C. The main thing you need is a track log so they know where you've flown.

So anyone with a weird or old GPS would have to provide software to read
the track log, I guess.

Could use some lessons on how to use the functions needed for comps:
glide calculations, how to set in start and turn cylinders, etc. Don't
tell me in an e-mail (doesn't stick); show me when you get here. - Hugh

G7TOWIN...

Brian

There is a freeware program called "G7TOWIN" that interfaces a PC to a GARMIN GPS, extracts the track log file, and converts it to an igc file that can be used for scoring.

I'm not really sure how they handle all the different GPS's. I know some of the pilots are still using the Garmin 12 Map. David Glover scored the Florida Ridge meet and he had several different cables to?download different instruments but we'll probably need to check with him to find out?if there are limitations to what he can score.

That's for Garmin - I've got something about 7 or 8 years old.

GPS

Brian,

I'll be otherwise occupied that week and I have an extra GPS. You can borrow my Garmin GPS III if you wish.
