Probably one of those days where it blows WSW at Woodstock and NW at Dickey. But it should be sunny and the temperature looks reasonable so I'm in.

Dickey's still looks like the call for the day. Overcast here at the moment but forecast is to go partly cloudy.

It was Steve K and me as hang gliders and Tom C, Jim and ?? paraglider pilots. A little cold but nice day. We launched between 2:30 and 3:30. Steve and Tom scratched a while before I launched. It took me a while to get up in my falcon. I decided to try a cross country and managed to get 19 miles north and landed along Rt 522 4.8 miles short of downtown Winchester. Although I did not get high and never made it to cloud base it was a good flight. I got low several times and thought I would have to land (unzipped five time) but eaked out a few miles. Steve and I had dinner at Appleby's in Front Royal. Tom made it to rt 17 and I66 east of Front Royal and the other paraglider pilot made it to Berryville.
