High Rock tomorrow?

Post by RedBaron »

Okay, the ramps are no good but right now I'm seeing a WNW 10+ mph window tomorrow from 11 am to 3 pm. Any takers?

We could be set up and launch at 1:01... Janni, if this comes together, could you bring the Sport 2? - Hugh

1:01? The expectation is for suspension of the TFR at 1... often it's sooner, sometimes it's extended.

Call WX-BRIEF to CONFIRM termination of the TFR before you launch! And when you do, make sure to ask for the briefer's ID; he/she will give you their initials. Ask for the briefer's ID just in case there is an infraction due to the wrong information; it's happened.

If WX-BRIEF asks for your N number then just tell them that you are a Part 103 unpowered aircraft.

Thanks, Danny. Yeah, I know there's nothing certain about an expected lifting of a TFR - Shrub may have wanted to watch the superbowl in comfortable surroundings. I don't think anybody even tried... - Hugh
