Well, I could use a dose of irrational optimism. Where the hell is Marco?? I'm sure he could find something good to say about the economy.

Nope, meant what I said. It's the optimism about the economy that he's so good despite the signs.

The book The Fourth Turning looks at the generational cycles in history. There are 4 cycles lasting approximately 20 years each. We've entered the fourth cycle. The last fourth cycle included the Depression. The book came out in 1997. Many of their possible future events in this cycle have already happened/are happening.
