Smithsburg weekend 1/19 - 1/20

Post by XCanytime »

Might be too windy Saturday and will be colder and less windy on Sunday. Looks like barely tickling upper 20's on Sunday. Sunday will be a good day for the Smithsburg Polar Bear Fly-In

Change to Woodstock hike-in Sunday

Post by XCanytime »

The timing of the frontal passage is delayed, so no Smithsburg on Saturday and looks a bit windy up Hagerstown way on Sunday. However, there is an exercise opportunity for those interested in hiking up the backside of Woodstock Sunday AM. I'm a little interested, even though the temp will be in the mid to upper 20's later on. Anybody else?

Sunday walk to the top of Woodstock might be the place to be.

Choices

Smithsburg or Woodstock. Great exercise at both places. Hugh? Hike up the back? All we need is a few more hardy souls.

I'm still thinking. Flying benefit vs. freezing significant body parts. - Hugh

How about a White Tail snowboarding/skiing excursion? Haven't had my snowboard out in years it seems.
