An absentee vote for tomorrow night

Post by Dan T »

I'd like to propose that we implement matthew's suggestion with one caveat,
it begins in 2006. They would give everyone time to consider their own choices
without feeling compelled to act on such short notice. Couple that with the
competition window rule and it seems that everyone, even the out of state
pilot who may unexpectedly shows up is accommodated.

I request that one of the club officer's submit it for consideration tomorrow
night.

Assuming we can absentee vote, I'd like to make a motion that we defer the
discussion until 2010 : )

Why not just put something on the registration form that says "wheels and full face helmet recommended".? I don't think anybody would get upset over that.

Don't make me come to this meeting!

I'll second the motion to defer this to a time when there is less emotion involved. These are very well worn (out) topics.

[DB] I'll do that.

[DB] Nice try.

[DB] Hope it's not a burden to hang out with your flying friends at a
nice restaurant and maybe drink a beer or two! I'll bring to the meeting
a sweatshirt that was left at High Rock that I think belongs to you,
something Hawaiian. If you don't claim it I will donate to Brian VH. I
won't make you come, but I'd sure like to see you!

My vote

Post by Flying Lobster »

As a longer-time-member than most others, I would like to cast my absentee ballot.

I would like to first make a motion that the new rule/motion be modified a bit. Instead of requiring a full-face helmet--I suggest that instead the rule should be that no pilots be allowed to fly CHGPA sites in a prone position--rather everyone should be supine or standing in the control bar.

This will almost certainly result in a great reduction in risk in crashes--whether or not someone goes in wearing a full-face--as I see it the real problem is being proned out when starting a glide-ratio experiment through solid matter.

The chgpa.org website has a link to PayPal with a nifty on-line form to
fill in your data (USHGA expiration date most important). Thanks! -
