Canoe trailer for Woodstock in the winter

Post by RedBaron »

There's a few very simple, light and quite inexpensive Canoe trailers for prices around $1000. They're easily capable of carrying 4-5 gliders and I was wondering whether the Club with its limitless funds would be interested in purchasing one. Woodstock will be in snow soon and I think the possibility of hauling a trailer loaded with 5 gliders up the back road would make WS an attractive option in the winter.
I would prefer a dozen huskies and a sleigh, though.

Janni,

Thanks for exercising leadership on a number of issues. So is the idea that we can man-haul the trailer up the back easier than carrying the gliders up individually? Makes sense to me. It also occurs to me that this is a communal sport and we could reduce our carbon footprint by carpooling more...

So, will this trailer go under the locked gate fully loaded? (Don't get your hopes up - the Board may not go for it.) - Hugh
