Eddie just called.
Cheesehill is now open because of the snow.
Game on!

Richard called me, he went out to Smithburg today with a bunch of students after he got the word from several people that it was actually open. There's still crop in the field as well as a sign saying it's still closed for HG. What's going on?

Shawn,

I think you said that they were hoping to do something with the crop, but it was ruined by the snow. As to the sign, maybe someone just forgot to change it.

Does that make sense?

Eddie usually changes the sign. ... Probably hasn't gotten around to it.

With Smithsburg open, we could finally hold a club-sponsored day at the
training hill for new/recent/rusty Hang-IIs. And anyone else, of course!
Is that still the plan?

Given that this weekend will suck, and that next weekend is the long
Christmas weekend, perhaps we're looking at January 2008? First
NW@10-15 day in January/February that's 40-ish ?

Would be great if we could shoot video of launches and landings, to
provide immediate feedback. Maybe offer hot chocolate and donuts,
or something similarly unhealthy?

Just tossing out some ideas, would be great to have an organized event!

Sounds like a great plan. I'm in. I could bring some unhealthy eats.

If anyone knows of any local kids who could sell us hot chocolate and the unhealthy eats, we could build up a little local goodwill.
