I just want to remind everyone that no one is talking about or even suggesting mandatory use of full face helmets for general recreational flying. I (that's me, just lowly old me) am making two PROPOSALS!
The first relates to required use of full face helmets with a minimum standard at santioned USHGA comps. What USHGA does or doesn't do with this proposal is up to the Board of Directors at USHGA.
The second proposal is also very specific. It relates to a requirement for using a full face helmet to fly a hang glider at the Pulpit Fly-In, an annual competition sponsored by CHGPA. I invite all MEMBERS OF CHGPA to attend the meeting tomorrow night (Wednesday, April 27, 2005) and discuss my PROPOSAL.
