Is anyone thinking of heading out to Ridgely today? It's the end of the season and the weather seems to be fair if a little on the cold side.
I'm on the fence.

Only a hand full of solo pilots there including Carlos, Cragin, Christian, David Churchill, me, and a two or three pilots I do not know. A pretty day with light winds and light thermals in the mid afternoon. I was lucky and got to 3700' (the highest) at one time and a 35-40 minute flight. I think Christian got 45 min flight. Glad I went. You should have come.

Where Was Everyone?
As John said, a small cadre of us had a fun day closing Highland for the season. Although not an XC day,it was soarable. John got his top dog thermal by hitting the one I was scraping in at 1600, coming in above me and getting lots higher. Christian flew without his fairing, and came down when he got too cold.
Sunny even had some soaring time on one of the tandem rides, but the student asked to finish.
Go to my blog for a longer report, as well as a short video. Yes, there is music. In fact, I think the lyrics for this one are particularly apropo.
