how to fold your wing in under a minute:

since we are YouTubing today :-)

But honestly, what do you think about the technique? Looks like it should work nicely.

Here is a better video of it:

This one shows how nicely the mylar lines up, too.

I'm sold.

Cool!
I note, however, that one of the "1 minute fold" videos is 2 minutes long, and the other is 3.5 minutes long. I'll still give it a shot, however.
Thanks Ellis!

I'll need to get it worked out in the "field." I keep my risers connected to the harness, so some sort of modification in technique will be necessary.

biWingual folding technique

Post by Spark »

I've been using a technique similar to this, borrowed from

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qvrWt9VOQQ

My variation involves laying out a lightweight HG XC bag under the wing, and perpendicular to the span.

I cut the XC bag to 12' long with one end open. After I gather the mylar, I zip the bag from the trailing edge forward whilst folding the enclosed wing into quarters as I push the air out the leading edge cells. The bag keeps the mylar aligned and serves as a place to stow the lines.

Another 'hang'-over from the past ... I am flying with a thermal snooper in my pg instrument cockpit. It's an '80s retro-thang.

Harness attached

Post by Matthew »

You should be able to use unclip your riser use the fast walk around and pull technique and re-clip the riser to your harness and then do the same thing on the other side and end up with the glider attached properly. I'll give it a try.
