somebody somewhere else wrote: BTW, it's an Ultra Falcon, NOT an attack Falcon. :D
or . . . maybe a "FulconA" ?

as in:
"hey dude, that sure is a trick falcon!"
reply:
"Fulkin A it is"

(ehh, it was worth a shot)

So if you remove all the drag from a falcon, you're saying there's something special about the pure single surface versus double surface. What would that be? I'm kinda curious.

I think you actually have to sign up on then OzReort in order to see the pics. Can't upload into the posts here, apparently. Sorry, your 2 minutes to sign up versus my 10 minutes to upload links to other sites-- :D

Sorry about the wait-for-approval issue... It's hard to know how
secure Coppermine is, and until I'm more sure of it, I'm leaving
the gallery in that mode to be safe.

Your 4 photos have just been approved. The gallery is located at:

ultra falcon

Post by Dan T »

Marc flew the ultra falcon as my teammate at the Tennessee Tree Toppers team challenge. Marc will be the first to admit that while he is a good pilot he is not a world class pilot and we hade a few of those at that contest. In spite of that he had a very good showing on that glider there.

I encourage anyone who is interested in a turbocharged single surface glider to give it a look and perhaps a test flight.

Whaddya mean Dan--I always thought I was the best pilot in the world!

I talked to Wills yesterday and asked one of the guys there what he thought. While this person appeared to be impressed--the analogy of a pimped Hummer with spinning wheel hubs that rendered the off-road capabilities useless was mentioned--hah haha :D

Since I've taken the glider out of certification compliance and there are still a couple of issues I need to fix--I think the idea of demos is not a good one at this point.

I know you were being complimentary and I appreciate it. :D
