Sailplane Lessons

Post by lbunner »

Was thinking of taking sailplane lessons over the winter. Any recommendations out there?

Try Mid-Atlantic Soaring Association,www.m-asa.org,very descriptive web page.Membership which entails time and labor commitments gets lessons for basicly dues,I think you can still get lessons without being a member but the cost is more.Located in Fairfield Pa.,not far fron High Rock.Danny Brotto flies there sometimes. Ask to speak to Cathy.RichB

There's also the Shenadoah club at Front Royal - MASA has a cooperative agreement with them and ops seem to migrate to FR in the winter. Let me know what you find out - I'm interested in sailplanes but haven't taken any affirmative action to start down that path... - Hugh

Steve Kinsley used to fly there. I think he quit but don't know why. I'd kinda like to learn to fly them myself, especially in the winter when it's too cold to be out in the open air.
