I've been watching the winds...looks pretty rough during the day. Woodstock would be the only place flyable tomorrow it seems, but not until late in the day.

Woodstock Forecast - Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 70s...except highs in the lower 60s at the higher elevations. West winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph this afternoon.

Looks like the winds shift to SW late afternoon so WS not looking so great today. Anyone else seeing anything different?

I'm waiting for the 11am forecast update to make my decision.

Ran into roadwork on 66 the other day on my way out to Daniel Mtn. Backed up pretty bad -- 35 - 40 mins delay starting 3 or 4 miles before the 29 exit. Anybody know what the weekend status is?

Looking at the vdot site it doesnt list any road work on I-66. I am thinking of giving it a try mid afternoon. 202-409-2574 c.

The forecasts I've seen are still pretty much W going WNW, though
the current winds seem more WSW. And strong above!

Might consider going out there just to check things out... Beautiful
fall day, from the ground or from the air.

Latest hourly winds look really nice, bet there's some flying going
on at Woodstock! :)

Couldn't make it (work), but hope to hear some great flying stories!

Also Tony a student of John's who stopped by to help wire off the expected throngs. So three of us. You turkys are all fired.. Anyway you shoulda been there. John got 2500 over.
