Oh, the Shame!!

Post by Matthew »

So we have the Prez of USHPA show up for a meeting and, once again, only the usual suspects attend. In fact, most of the usual suspects didn't bother to come. We had the meeting within a few miles of about a dozen pilots who live in Virgina- and DC- pilots who fly regularly-- and they didn't attend. We had a $1000 up for grabs to encourage the outlying pilots to attend. Nope. None attended. Only 15 pilots came to the meeting. The only PG pilots to attend were Ben and LE. And LE is the Region 9 Director.

I can't believe it. No one seems to care anymore.

We have no new Hang 2s or P2s.

Our sport is dead.

Matthew and CHGPAfolks,
You're right, the shame. Even the fact of being a hemisphere away is no reason not to tell you I'm sorry I'm missing CHGPA meetings, and even sorrier I haven't shown up for flying for a few months. In fact, I haven't been to the Forum for an easy 3 months, and no good excuse except that I've gotten so busy in a new job and place that I haven't even advised my new coordinates: Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, an hour from the 6000 + feet of Sharr Mtns. More on the local flying scene when I have more to tell... But there is definitely flying: here, Macedonia, Montenegro, and around the Balkans, so if anyone is coming this direction, will you get in touch?

Hi Jon!

Thanks for posting - we wondered where you were, figured it was some neat new location.
