Sat Flying

Post by Matthew »

I'm doing a 65 mile training ride on Saturday. Can't make it out flying. Go to Ridgely. Looks WSW all day-- too cross at the Pulpit.

I dunno... NWS text 'cast, ADDS 3k, NWS Hourly, and Intellicast
all seem to be saying W in south-central PA. What are you looking
at Matthew?

PS: Though with a predicted high in the lower 80s at the Pulpit, I admit
that sounds like it might be more SW than W... Guess we'll see tomorrow!

My Weekend HG Plans

Post by CraginS »

Last Sunday at High Rock, my glider failed pre-flight inspection. The luff line compensator cable that runs up through the king post appears to be broken. Looks like the cable slipped out of the pulley and snagged between the pulley and kingpost wall, so when th kingpost folded down, it broke the cable.
Therefore, I am off to Blue Sky to deliver it for repair. Probably doing that on Sunday... looks better for flying there on Sunday than Saturday. (I'll truck tow the Pulse.)
